Fungi Perfecti

I got the new Anthropologie catalog in the mail the other day and aside from the many clothing items I highly coveted, they had the coolest mushroom theme going on.

I am drawn to antique botanial drawings (reproduction) , especially large ones with black backgrounds, and they have a beautiful one of mushrooms. Too bad it's a million dollars. Sometimes I wonder who can actually afford to buy the stuff they sell. Anyway, they also have these SUPER cool papier mache toadstools (here and here) which I am seriously digging.

I found some botanical reproductions on allposters.com and I think that framed and grouped together they will go nicely in the living room.

You should see the very cool posters you can get for free from the US Forest Service. If you're interested, I'll ask my bud the best way to get one.

There are also cool and freebie print 'em yourself botanical pictures out there. Look here: http://npdc.usda.gov/publications/posters.html very pretty choices.

I think they should make an anthroAPOLOGY for the prices they have the nerve to charge!!! Always great stuff though, darnit. I hate RISD. All the grads seem to know the secret to great design.
