My friend and co-worker Diana gave me this student desk/chair and I am so loving it! Because the orientation of our house and several giant cedars, my living and dining area doesn't get much light despite having two huge windows. I was using a dining room chair in this spot to hoist this plant into the light and I am really happy that not only do I get my dining room chair back, but I have gained a few more surface areas to stash things. Thanks Diana!
We have been trying to get in into tea recently. I usually have a shot of espresso and steamed soy milk in the morning and have been hankering for a change. I decided to try a Pu-erh which comes in these funky little nests, or Tuóchá:

I am a little up in the air about this tea, it seemed a little too tannic and I am not sure if it's the tea or if I over brewed it or what. I just don't enjoy that feeling of my tongue drying out. I also bought a vanilla pu erh in bags, and I like that a lot better, but still a little too tannic.
We have a fantastic tea shop downtown that has a dazzling variety of tea so I think I'll head back and try something else.
We had our first fire of the season last weekend and it's comforting warmth was very much appreciated by all of us:

Some more than others.
