Super cool link from Amy Beth at Supah. Imaginary world..this is a great site! Check out all of the vintage children's packaging...I love it. It reminds me of a cookbook my mom has that was made by Jell-O I think. It has great 1950's illustrations. I need to put that on the list of things to look at when I visit next.

Suzanne Webster makes beautiful jewelry! Her site is Bellalulu and I am coveting this quartz ring. Oh man..I love it.

Apparently my host site is experiencing technical difficulties. I have not been able to post, send or receive emails consistently this past week. I feel so out of touch. I also cannot believe a week went by so fast.

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is one of my all time favorite movies, like a lot of people I presume. I always get worried when I hear rumors of a "remake". I read this today..Tim Burton wants to remake Willy Wonka. I am still worried (hello, Planet of the Apes?) but I think if anyone should do it, it should be him.

If you watch an 1/8th of the TV that I watch, you may have caught these guys on a show like Food Finds, or some other Food Network/HGTV thing. I have seen several different snippets about them over the years, and I find the idea irresistible. I LOVE eating flowers. Out of a Flower makes ice cream and sorbets (among other things) using flowers. Check out their list...what an imagination!

I have been in a serious food mood lately, if you haven't noticed. One of the things I made the other day has gotten me very excited. It's a recipe from Food and Wine. Green Salad with Garlic Crunch, and it's the Garlic Crunch that I am in love with. It's basically granola, but a savory granola that you put over salads and baked potatoes and such. I think the next time I make this I am going to add sesame seeds. If you have made granola (or even if you haven't) I suggest you try it. Super easy.

I have to share some links that the fabulous Kim sent me. I have been thinking of getting a dog, a Chihuahua more specifically, and I have finally gotten to the point of convincing J that a Chihuahua is a good idea. I may have shot myself in the foot, however, after I showed him this link sent to me by Kim. I told him that I have NO intention of dressing the poor dog in anything so outlandish, but the pictures are to die for.

She also sent me this link to these...I LOVE them. The price is NOT right, unfortunately so I will covet them from afar....

Wow..I didn't realize it had been so long since I updated. So sorry...I feel like I have been so busy!

Yesterday I met the fabulous Karan, and she took me all around Olympia to show me the hot spots and happening places. This town is so pretty...one of the hot spots she took me to was Shipwreck Beads. Holy. Cow. This place is huge..more beads than I ever seen. Awe inspiring. I had a great time and Karan, ...next time coffee is on me!

Remember when I told you that we got Nigella Lawson's "How To Eat"? At first I loved the book, and then I hated it, and now I am back to utterly and totally loving it again. Both the book and Nigella. I get the Style Network up here, and Nigella's Forever Summer is a show I make a point to see. I was a little bummed that they do not have the recipes on the Style Network website like most cooking shows, but I supposed it's all a marketing ploy to get you to buy the book. It worked on me...I totally want Nigella Bites, How to be a Domestic Goddess, and of course, Forever Summer.

On since I am on the subject of food..I am going to conclude this post with a link to the easiest homemade BBQ sauce ever (scroll all the way down). I have made this several times, and yes, it's a little more complicated than opening a bottle of the premade stuff, but this gives you an excuse to buy Liquid Smoke.

I received the June/July issue of Jane in the mail this morning and there is a picture of the EXACT grass chair kit I talked about in March. Same picture and everything (pg. 94). I'm soooo ahead of the curve.

I found this fabulous site this weekend. The products are great and I really love the way the site is put together. I think my favorite thing is the "Design Process" page. I know don't though...I like this a lot too.

I also stumbled across Keren Richter, from the Superhero Designs links. I am completely enthralled with her sketchbook pages. I have been thinking of putting my pages on my site somewhere, but they are embarrassingly dull. Mine do not look nearly as cool as Keren's. They are filled with half-drawn ideas. When I draw something I think I will like, I stop and hop on the computer to finish it. Perhaps I should work on that...turn it into a goal or something.

I know that Stef just blogged about these zipper purses yesterday, but they are just so genius. Love it.

A few things I have noticed about the Pacific Northwest:

•The ants up here are GIGANTIC. Seriously, they are like a 1/4" long.
•You can only buy hard alcohol at the State-run alcohol store. They are hard-core about their liquor. J and I tried to buy some vodka the other day and I gave them my expired California drivers license that had the little piece of paper stapled to it that allows me to drive and they wouldn't take it. I can understand that, actually, BUT...when J tried to pay, they wouldn't let him since I was with him. So I left the store. They still wouldn't let him pay since we had been in the store together. He had to come back the next day. We said "screw that" and drove to the store on the other side of town. By this time we NEEDED a drink. No more going to Costco to get the gallon jugs of Maker's Mark....sigh....

I have had TWO dreams this week about my hair. In Dream A., I looked in the mirror and my part was like those older women you see with grey roots and you can sorta see the pink of their scalp like a skunk's stripe running down the middle of their head. I remember in my dream being taken aback by the site of my own pinkish white stripe, until I figured out what was wrong and was comforted by the thought of hair dye. Dream B., however, was a tad more disturbing. I had decided to cut my hair, I don't remember why or anything like that...the only thing I DO remember is looking in the mirror after my cut and seeing a shiny black flattop that stuck up about 4 inches. Oh..and I had a tail. Remember those? I distinctly remember shrieking in horror and going: "DEAR GOD,WHY DID I CUT MY HAIR??" It was one of those dreams that you breath a sigh of relief when you wake up and realize it was just a dream.
